Zoya thandie with zoya harperĀ

Zoya Thandie is one of my first real orange polishes. Coral is usually as "orange as I go. I just wanted to try something different to switch it up between the small group of color families I rotate though - pinks, purples, blues, reds, greens. Orange was a surprising refreshing change of color and perfect for summer.

Juicy orange color and very nice formula. My mani bubbles badly because I applied the coats too thick so that is why I wanted to add a layer of Zoya Harper, a pink with gold shimmer and colorful glitter is very sheer polish as a one coat but this makes it perfect and fun to layer over other colors.

Applying Harper over Thandie made my orange mani turn coral so next time I plan to wear an orange polish I will be sure to apply Thandie better to prevent a few bubbles. Either way I am very happy with how the orange layered with pink made my mani a very unique & pretty looking!

I have always wanted Zoya Wednesday so I am so happy to finally own it! This is a must have color in your collection. If you don't own this color then be sure to pick it up during the next Zoya sale.

The formula was great. Very easy to apply and the brush is easy to use and apply the polish onto your nails. I didn't use a base or top coat. The polish dried fast too.

I have been into accent nails lately so I wanted to add a fun polish to pair with Zoya Wednesday. So picked out a aqua holo!

Color Club Angel Kiss is a stunning aqua polish polish. If you don't own any holo nail polishes then be sure to pick one up from Color Club. So many pretty ones to pick from so just choose your favorite color or just buy the whole holo collection!

The formula on every single color is perfect! They all are so easy to apply and dry in lighting speed! I don't use a base coat or a top coat which is totally not needed to me with this polish. I usually get 4 days of wear before I see one or two nails that get a tiny chip.

Even though I am in love with this holo nail polish, I only wear it during the spring and summer seasons as a special treat but I will wear it often! This is the polish to wear when you will be outside on a sunny day! You will fall in love with seeing the stunning holo!

Does anyone else get excited when they spot a huge bright colorful rainbow in the sky on a dark rainy stormy day, well when I am outside in the sunshine or indoors and depending on the light when I see the holo on my nails it just gets me excited and feeling happy like when I spot a naturally beautiful rainbow in the sky above!

Current colors in my Color Club holo collection -

Eternal Beauty (purple)
Miss Bliss (pink)
Cloud Nine (light purple)
Cosmic Fate (peach)
Kismet (green-gold - so pretty, I think my #1 favorite in the holo collections!)
Over The Moon (blue)
Angel Kiss (blue-green/light aqua)

I will be sure to add more photos of my holo nail polishes whenever I wear them so be sure to check back to this post for more photos coming soon!

Sally Hansen Beachside astrologer 2015

Sally Hansen teamed up With Cosmopolitan Magazine to create a fun and unique nail polish collection. In all my years of buying mainstream polish I think this is the first time there has ever been a zodiac collection! Yay!

(Picture coming soon, check back next week)

I love this idea and always wanted to see a collection like this. I remember always reading magazine beauty articles when I was in middle school and high school and the magazines would always recommend a pretty polish for your zodiac sign. In fact that is how I first fell in love with a red polish years ago. Maybelline Wet Shine Cherry Rain was a Scorpio recommendation and I grabbed it for fun one day at the drug store and fell so in love with it that I wore it all the time for months! I always applied that red polish on my nails and bought so many bottles because I would use up so many from always wearing it.

I hope more brands come out with a Zodic collection too because it would be interesting to see what colors they pair up with each zodiac sign.

I think Sally Hansen and Cosmo magazine did a pretty nice job at pairing up the colors and signs. If you didn't like your sun sign color then you could always pick up your rising sign instead or just buy whichever color you really wanted.

This is a limited edition collection so I highly suggest you pick up the ones you want soon. I think these polishes would make such a cute birthday gift idea for your family & friends too. So pick up every sign you need.

I picked up "Cancer Moon" for my mom's upcoming summer birthday and I think it will be a cute addition to the other gifts she will get too. The color is perfect for her too since she love natural colors so I know she will be happy with this polish. I also picked up my boyfriend's sun sign "Leo in Rio" for myself to wear around his summer birthday. I even think I will wear this polish during his birthday weekend. So stayed tuned and I will add a picture of it after I wear it.

Leo in Rio looked red in the store but once I brought it home and put it on it actually looked more like a tomato red with lots of orange. The polish has a strong orange tone. I don't think it's a color I would ever buy on my own, I don't even own a color like it in my collection. After wearing it though I did learn to like it and enjoyed the orange red jelly polish. I applied three coats. The formula was really nice and dried fast and shiny. My mani lasted 4 days until I saw tip wear. I can't wait to wear this polish again this summer!

I am very happy with the color they paired up with my sign! I love pink and shimmer so it's easy to love. This polish is so pretty that I think many people will buy it because of its beauty. Not only is it a great color for a mani but would be a perect polish to wear your toes too.

"Scorpio Sizzle" is a little sheer but it can build up nicely after a couple of coats. I recommend 3 thin coats. If you apply it a little thick then you might get a bubble or two. Keep the coats thin and you will have great results. Excellent wear for 4 days with no chips and only a tiny bit of tip wear. I'm sure most people would be able to wear this for days.

In my photo I wore it with Zoya Gilda (on ring finger) because they looked so similar in the bottle so I wanted to compare them to see if they were dupes. I actually ended up liking the Scorpio Sizzle polish better though!

If you see the zodiac polishes out then be sure to pick up your sign if you like the color and grab a few for your friends & family too!

Zoya Blues

I was craving blues and have always wanted to try an ombre look. This is my first time wearing 5 different polishes at once. My plan was to pick 5 creams but I didn't have that many blue creams that would work. Wearing 5 colors feels so different yet fun at the same time. Not sure if blue is my favorite pick for the ombre look but I was in the mood for blue. I think I will give this ombre thing another few chances and try it out in other colors and cream formulas too.

My blue picks:
Zoya Liberty - Super pretty but I forgot to put on a base coat so I am prepared for potential staining. Looking at the pretty sparkles will make it worth it. Dries fast, easy to apply, odor is stronger than the other blues I have on. I remember removal is similar to a glitter.

Zoya Tallulah - You need this blue! It came out awhile ago  but is still for sale. Add it to your wish list! Great application, Not sure if it stains but I don't think it does. I applied 3 coats for fun. Dries fast.

Zoya Ling - Very nice formula, maybe even a one coat type of polish. Sometimes it bubbles for me so I need to figure out a better way to apply this. Sometimes I apply it perfect sometimes it bubbles so maybe it's due to the air in my room?

Zoya Rebel - I have yet to wear this as a full mani so I need to soon because it would make a beautiful one. For now I just happen to reach for it as an accent color. 2-3 coats, dries fast, sometimes it bubbles  and I see a couple so maybe it's me, my thick application or the air in my room.

Zoya Rayne - Sheer so plan for 3-4 coats. A bit streaky so be careful with your application style.

Not sure if I would wear all 5 colors like this all together at the same time again but it was a fun little experiment.

Month of May 2015 favorites

The month of May seemed like it lasted forever but these beautiful colors were so fun to wear through it all.

I just wanted to share with you a few of my favorite polishes that I enjoyed wearing during the month of May. I changed my nail polish a lot but my top favorites were:

1. Zoya Ivanka - I wore this polish with an elegant black lace dress and I received numerous compliments on the pretty green polish. If you ever have plans to wear a petty black dress then be sure to pair it with Zoya Ivanka. It has a great formula, 2-3 coats looks the best, great wear time up to a few days or more, doesn't stain your natural nails.

2. Zoya Leslie - If you love light lavender colors but want something a little extra special then check this color out because it has a very unique flash of aqua within the lavender. Excellent formula, 2-3 coats, average wear time. It's not a super fast polish to remove due to the shimmer but it's almost as quick as a creme polish removal.

3. Zoya Rayne - Super pretty for spring and summer. It reminded me of Zoya Tallulah but way lighter so in a way it seems familiar and yet very different. The first coat is pretty sheer so plan for 3 or 4 coats depending on your application.

4. Jenna Hipp Thin Mint - A must have color in your collection. You may already have a similar color already so if you do then you don't need this. The formula was tricky but fine. Very little to no order, dries in lighting speed! Great wear time.

5. Jenna Hipp American Pie - A little too dark to me for wearing in the spring but it was perfect for Memorial Day weekend. I think I will plan to wear this for 4th of July too. Amazing formula, You might get away with one coat but I did 2 for fun, dries fast, no odor for a blue polish ,doesn't stain your nails! This might just be a perfect blue for every season.

6. Jenna Hipp Crème de Cantaloupe - I think this type of color is my new favorite for spring/summer. Such a bright and happy color. Nice formula, 3 coats, dries fast, lasted me 3 days until I saw tip wear because I was extra busy with my nails but it held up just fine. Due to it being a cream it was super easy to remove with nail polish remover and no staining.

Jenna Hipp Nail Polish from Costco.
I first found the Jenna Hipp nail polish at Costco around a year or so ago but it sold out pretty fast in store so I missed out. This time when I saw it in store and on sale I knew I had to try it. What I appreciate and like about the ingredients is that the polish is a five free formula like my favorite nail polish brand Zoya. I also loved the colors a lot more this year and only found one color that was similar to a polish I already own in my nail polish stash.

So far I have worn 4 of the colors. I find myself reaching for the Jenna Hipp nail polish every time I am ready to change my polish because I love how fast it dries and it has very little to no odor which make it perfect for when I paint my nails really late at night before bed. I didn't use a base coat or top coat and the nail polish was fine without them. They dried so fast and extra shiny. The ones I have tried didn't even stain my nails. I change my polish every 3 days for fun and the Jenna Hipp polish never chipped on me. Removal of the polish was super easy and fast too.

 NAMES:
1. Marshmallow Fondant  - light yellow color that needed 2 coats. I didn't care for the color that much but it is the only yellow I own so I did learn to like it and didn't mind it. I think this is a cute and fun color to wear in the spring.
2. Crème de Cantaloupe - I am wearing this one now and it is so perfect for summer. Very bright and a beautiful coral.
3. Pink Lady Finger - untried, so I will update this later.
4. Violet Éclair - untried,
so I will update this later.
5. Trés Parfait -
I look forward to wearing this color because I am interested in seeing how it compares to a color I already own, Pacifica Crystal Orchid. I will update later.
6. Thin Mint - Must have color but the formula was a little tricky like most aqua mints but it is workable with a little extra effort.
7. Rose Tart -
untried, so I will update this later.
8. American Pie - Love this blue! Great summer blue but I could also see wearing it again around the end of summer and into early fall. Also so happy it didn't stain my nails like most dark blues.

I hope to see more Jenna Hipp nail polish at Costco and would really like to see her release more collections. Another for Fall and Winter would having me buying more for sure.
